Today is day 1 of the trip titled Family and escape the smoke.
I drove 53 miles today, for a total of 53 miles so far.
I started the day at home. I ended the day at Hampshire Rocks Campground.
So far I'm finding that even in the heart of summer one can find an open spot here for one night, especially if you get here in the early afternoon. This site was reserved last night, and tomorrow night, but free tonight, so here I am!
Site 13 is not as perfect as the others I stayed in, but it's on the outside of the loop on the river side, so it's still pretty good.
Annoying flies this afternoon.
Also, the air quality bad around sunset, so I'm busting out the "climate change" tag again.
